we need a defensive defenseman, that ain't Drysdale in any shape or form, and for the record I think Rossi and Gunler would look better. |

Yeah let’s take them with our super early pick, great idea.
The reality is they need any defenseman they can get. Bahl if he makes the show will be that defensive dman but we shouldn’t sacrifice a high pick just to grab someone early that can be traded down for, and I hope they do not trade down. They need to take the best available at their pick and it will likely be the 3rd pick, unless they win the lotto. |

Assuming Askarov is gone by thetime of our second pick, I would hope they consider Sanderson, a big skilled defense first defenseman. |

Best available player always. This team isn't so secure at any position to try to draft a specific kind of player. |

we hands down need the BPA because we have minimal top tier talent at every single position.. so if we can maybe, PLEASE, fill just one of those gaps, it'll be a leap in the right direction. .
and then we'll suck again next year as that player develops, as Hughes continues to grow, and half our team will be sold at the deadline so what do you expect to happen lol. And the repeat next year the year after.. and.. maybe we'll see Nico and Jack putting up 70 a piece and maybe some hope from the 2020 pick.. and then mayybe a few other prospects show something.. and then.. MAYBE we KEEP a good player and ADD other good players!! 3 more years. The infinite rebuild delayed by drafting top 6 players in BOTH instances where we finally suck enough to get 1st overall picks lol. Can't make it up. |

For those keeping track, the Coyotes just keep sliding.
2-5-3 in their last 10. |

I kinda feel bad for jack Hughes playing with two guys that are non factors most of the time (wayne and miles speed and shoot into goalie chest wood) ..that being said man jack is a human turnover every time he touches it it feels like his passes are rushed...the game is too fast for the poor kid |

Really like what I’ve seen from Stützle his hands are unreal. |

Jack will be fine. Like Nico he needs a few years to grow into this league. Most draft kids aren't NHL ready. While we don't have the luxury of letting him develop in the AHL he will learn on the job. Give it some time. |

Jesus Christ you two are over the top.
1) shvingter88 You talk about picking the best player available but you don't say why that would be Drysdale, I actually said what it is that I find at fault with him, but you and MartysBetter88 go on like it's a done deal that he is the third best pick, based on what ?.
It can't be scouts because as anyone who has done research into this draft knows, outside of the top two the scouts have no consensus third pick the closest seems to be Stützle, So shouldn't you and MartysBetter88 be championing him since you want the best pick available ?.
Not only that you don't state why you think Rossi isn't the best pick available, this is a guy leading the OHL at 2 points per game, only McDavid and Marner have done that in there draft year, and yet you act surprised that I am a fan of him, as if he is a McLeod or Zacha type pick.
2) where in my post do I say anything about trading down, you and MartysBetter88 are so hard for us picking at 3 you're private parts are touching tips, like its a guaranteed draft position, it's not, not by a long shot. We are one point behind the Sens and two points behind the Ducks with a game in hand on both teams plus the Sharks, If we win our next 2 games we are suddenly above all three, it's far from improbable to think that could happen and suddenly we are in the fifth spot, not to mention the lottery could knock us down to eight.
There are 35 games till the end of the season any one Draftee from 3 to 7 could change positions and they are, DAILY, there are even some scouts turning on Byfield now because he had a bad WJC. Out side of the top 2 it's to early to be saying whitch team is guaranteed this spot and what player is a guarantee, the only thing you can say is what player you like the most and in the top 6 for me is Rossi, if he gets anywhere near Mcdavids total I don't think it is impossible for him to be ranked higher than Drysdale, I am not saying it is a guarantee, but not impossible. |

well that's interesting. I never mentioned the player you're talking about. I never mentioned picking at #3. I literally only talked about picking the BPA because we're weak at every position. I'm not "so hard" on us picking at 3.. who knows where we'll pick. Whatever spot we land at, we need to pick the best player, whether it's whoever you're talking about or someone else. |
